According Participant number 02- “My husband was an army soldier, and we had
two children, but because of due to the fraud case, he lost his job. With that, we have
to face many difficulties from financial. So, we were unable to fulfil our basic needs
also. Even relatives also refused us. That time husband’s one of friend promised to
give a job for my husband. But in return, I have to engage with that unknown person
sexually. From that incident, I decided to divorce from husband and with that started
to sell my body to look after my children well”. According to her explanations that
extreme poverty and unemployment cause to her engage as a sex worker. In this
situation, there is a husband’s intervention, but she refused that complain because she
explained that the husband did not get that decision by heart but because of Poverty.
Furthermore, she describes most women become sex workers because of Poverty. In
this situation, Amartya Sen’s social capability theory is essential to address Poverty.
That argues a high level of capabilities tends to eradicate Poverty. It is used by female
sex workers such sexuality they use to eradicate their Poverty. Anthony Gidden’s
theory of social exclusion proved that poor communities are excluded by others. Poor
people can’t escape from this situation. That exclusion can be the social, market,
political or exclusion by services such as transportation, health, education, financial
etc. Like that Poverty is the leading cause, and most of the time, prostitutes are
excluded through services like health, transportation, and education as well as a
marginal community they excluded. According to that, poverty cause to create some
exclusions an also that is influence to most miserable people negatively. Particularly,
Unemployment and economic crisis cause to create Poverty in large. Due to the
reasons like limited job opportunities, lack of capital or low level of support to start
money generating ways, most of the young women call for selling their bodies to gain
their needs, wants or ultimately for livelihood. According to that, this study revealed
chiefly that financial needs, unemployment and Poverty leads to prostitution as
