6.1.4 Husband’s Drug Addiction

Drugs and prostitution have a direct correlation. Drugs can define as chemicals that
can be harmful to the body no matter what the amount of addiction it consumes over

time. Drug use can change brain function significantly. Some of the women explained
their stories which cause to involve with prostitution because of husband’s drug

addiction. Because of that habit, they did not pay attention to family and also their
economic background even down with that and its members. Most of the time, the
husband’s drug addiction cause to create domestic violence through conflict

situations. Sometimes automatically that conditions lead to women to be a sex worker
within the society. Number nine respondent she described the story according to her

real experiences, “My husband is a drunker and everyday he gets drinks with his
friends, and they use his room for that. We have two children, but he didn’t give
money to take food for home. So, children are suffering from hunger. Somedays his

drug-addicted friends come for me with his permission. When I reject them, husband
assault me as severe? So, I have to engage in sexual behaviors with them. They paid
me well, and I spent them for children to fulfil their needs”. According to that,

because of drug-addicted husbands that family relationships are decreasing.
Primarily, its influence on husband and wife relationship. When the husband uses
drugs, it is an impact to wife and all family members’ lives negatively, especially,

like prostitution.

6.1.5 Breaking Love Affairs and Sex for Enjoyment

Breaking love affairs is an essential reason for women to become a prostitute.
Usually, it helps to create teen and young prostitutes with the breaking love affairs in
this situation, women become a frustration. So, they can’t get proper decisions with

that situation. When breaking some love affairs, some lovers can’t build their lives as
previous because engage with sexual activities and society does not accept that kind

of behaviors before the marriage. One of the research participants emphasizes the
