The available research on digitalisation and poverty is missing some empirical
data. It is possible to research and empirically test how digitalisation affects
poverty. Barriers and difficulties in implementing digital technologies can also
be found through this effort. The relationship between particular digital
technologies and economic development can be investigated through
empirical studies.
Research on digitalisation and poverty suffers from a methodological gap. The
qualitative methodology has been used in very few studies. To fully
comprehend the problem, more case study-style research can be carried out.
Research on the relationship between digitalisation and poverty has a
knowledge gap. To grasp the scope of the problem, a thorough framework is
required. There have only been a few isolated studies in this field.
6. Conclusions
To boost their economies and end poverty, developing nations must work hand
in hand with digitalization. It is crucial to provide rural residents with technical
education and skill development to prepare them for digitisation, which will
lead to sustainable national and international development. To identify
possible areas for successful digitalisation, those impoverished countries must
take several initiatives. Such areas for digitalisation include banking and
finance, law enforcement, education, and health care.
