The Systematic Literature Review was conducted as described by Xiao and
Watson (2017). A systematic literature review was conducted using Science
Direct, Emerald, Taylor & Francis, and JSTOR databases along with the
keywords: “Digitalisation" and "Poverty." In this study, only journal articles
with the search terms in the title were considered. The abstracts of journal
articles were evaluated for their relevance to the research topic, and studies
from all disciplines were included in the search for the literature. In addition,
studies written in English were chosen for this conceptual study. The quality
and eligibility of the studies were evaluated by reading the chosen journal
articles.
4. Findings
Poor nations must embrace digitalisation to stimulate their economies and
eradicate poverty. For this, these underdeveloped nations must undertake
multiple initiatives aimed at identifying crucial digitalisation areas. Education,
the Criminal Justice System, Banking and Finance, and digitalisation in Health
Care are examples of such areas.
It is essential to provide rural residents with the technical training and skill
development necessary to adapt to digitisation, which will lead to sustainable
national and global development. To achieve a digital economy, nations can
develop various initiatives to facilitate digitalisation with other nations.
