Digitalisation has disadvantages like social media addiction, cybercrime, data
theft, job loss, information overload, and a lack of face-to-face social
interactions. Women in rural areas are still in the early stages of digitalisation
and are struggling with issues related to their identity. Another concern is
privacy where security measures are rigorous but not foolproof. Digitalisation
has led to an increase in cybercrimes like plagiarism, fee fraud, identity theft,
and the use of fake documents and identification. For architects and
government institutions to fully investigate how digitalisation affects the
eradication of poverty, a comprehensive framework is required. Future
research in the areas mentioned above is advised to fully comprehend the
impacts and interactions of digitalisation and woman empowerment.
