Greetings to all

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the organisers for making me a part
th
of this 7 Ruhana Arts Students, Annual session (RASAS)-2022 with the theme
“Spirit of Sprouting Researchers of Tomorrow” . Its indeed my great pleasure
to be addressing you all on one of the pertinent and most important topics of the
academic which deals with research in the faculty of social sciences today.
Academics today, has not left any stone untouched which can contribute and
enhance the knowledge of the students which can help them grow and pursue
their dreams for a better future.

George Santayana, Philosopher, Poet, essayist and novelist says “Those who
don’t remember the past are condemned to repeat is “. We have reached a
predictable crossroads in the history of human existence, noting could be more
true. Let’s see how social science subjects have allowed us all to untangle the
development of human race and why it is so very important to us at this juncture.
Social Science as a faculty offers an deep insight into the society its needs and
relationship between the individuals within the society where we all exist. The
broad field of social science encompasses anthropology, law, history, geography,
sociology, psychology, media studies, political science and so on.

Over the past 2-3 decades, the courses in methods of research in social sciences
have occupied a predominant place and role in sociological curriculum Its very
likely that the universities offer various new courses every year under this faculty
and thus there is a growing significance of social science research and growing
opportunities in this field.

Nowadays Social Science research is acquiring a scientific method of study,
research is a very important aspect and thus need more dedication and insight.
Research helps in finding further knowledge and a deep understanding about the
subject. It is only through proper research progress is possible and we can reach
further. We need to understand that research is an organised effort to acquire new
dimensions and new knowledge. The richer the past knowledge better will be the
experience. Research deals with a systematic method of discovering new facts,
verifying the old facts, their inert relationship, their sequence, informal
explanations, and natural way to discover them
