               The  purpose  of  this  conceptual  paper  is  to  assess  the  current  research  on
               digitalisation  and  poverty  eradication;  digitalisation  initiatives;  and

               digitalisation areas. Further, the research aims to identify the most significant

               research gaps in the field and to provide future research directions.








               2.  Review of Literature


               Digitalisation

               Digitalisation  facilitates  the  eradication  of  poverty  in  underdeveloped
               countries.  It  emphasises the significance of a digital  economy.  The digital

               economy is a socio-political condition and economic system with intellectual

               space  characteristics.  Technology  is  associated  with  the  expansion  of  the
               digital  economy,  which  is  capable  of  fostering  economic  expansion  and

               enhancing competitiveness (Dharmayanti et al., 2022). The digital economy
               facilitates  and  enables  knowledge  management  and  has  a  bidirectional

               relationship with economic development. By encouraging micro, small, and
               medium-sized  businesses  (MSMEs),  it  can  enhance  economic  growth,

               innovation,  and  competitiveness.  ICT  (information  and  communication

               technology)  is  an  effective  tool  for  promoting  economic  growth  in
               underdeveloped  regions.  Information  technology  (IT)  uses  computers,
