The ‘Certificate Course in German Language’ an introductory course which offers as an internal certificate course especially designed for students, for those who have no prior familiarity with German. It aims at developing basic communication skills in the German language and to introduce them to the German culture enabling students to cope with elementary communicative situations according to German cultural standards. Students will be trained in all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) with grammatical issues being part of a topic related communicative approach to language learning and serving to develop those four language skills in German. Students will be exposed to German audio-visual material, situational phrases via role-playing and a variety of texts and authentic material to practice and acquire basic vocabulary.
The objective of the ‘Advanced Certificate Course in German Language Proficiency’ (Level 2 SLQF) is to produce qualified and well-trained German Language users. Thus, this course will empower undergraduates with essential language skills required to perform as the effective students within their study period and achieve the desired objectives in their personal language skills and professional life. Accordingly, the implementation of this course will expect to achieve the following objectives.
