VIDVĀN — Ruhuna Undergraduate Academic Journal of Pali and Buddhist Studies
Overview
The Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies at the University of Ruhuna has established the Ruhuna Undergraduate Academic Journal of Pali and Buddhist Studies (VIDVĀN). This digital initiative serves as a formal, scholarly platform dedicated to showcasing student research and critical essays. By focusing on Pali language, Buddhist Philosophy, Buddhist Culture and their interdisciplinary connections, the journal bridges classical textual study with modern academic inquiry.
This academic journal is published as two issues per year. The first issue includes articles by undergraduate students. Articles for this journal can be submitted in Sinhala, English and Pali.
Objective
Advance global scholarly dialogue in Pali and Buddhist studies by bridging ancient textual traditions with contemporary ethical, cultural and philosophical issues.
