environmental regulations on fishing communities, or exploring community-based conservation
models, our students have engaged with tangible issues that affect the lives of ordinary citizens.
I extend my gratitude to the organizing committee, whose dedication has made this event possible.
To the academic staff who have mentored these young researchers, your guidance has been
invaluable. To our students, I commend your intellectual curiosity and commitment to meaningful
inquiry. The research you present today may seem modest in scope, but remember that transformative
change often begins with localized studies and contextualized understanding.
I congratulate all participants and wish you continued success in your academic and professional
endeavors. May the spirit of inquiry and commitment to environmental stewardship reflected in these
pages inspire future generations of researchers and policymakers.
