5.4% of the group, except for the above-mentioned respondents, did not
think their responses were effective. Most of them (42.9%) did not find
enough public concern. 28.6% felt threatened. Lack of organization and
planning (14.3%) and other unspecified reasons (14.3%) were given by the
rest of this group of respondents.
17.9% of the group of respondents believe that Facebook has become an
excellent means of communicating environmental issues to the public. 37.9%
of the respondents think that Facebook has become a good reason, but the
same percentage of other respondents think that it has become a reason for
this purpose only to some extent. However, 6.9% of the respondents denied
this idea.
According to 18.3% of the respondents, Facebook has been able to gather the
public opinion very well. 40% of the respondents thought that it had done
well in gathering public opinion, and another 40% thought it had been
successful only to some extent. Only 1.7% of the respondents rejected the
idea.
When the respondents were questioned on the contribution of Facebook to
environmental justice, according to 11.7% of them, Facebook has done
excellent work. Another 41.7% thought the contribution of Facebook was
good. But the majority (45%) thought that it contributed to environmental
justice only to some extent. 1.7% of the respondents thought Facebook had
no contribution towards this matter at all.
7. Restrictions and Limitations
Most of the respondents (41.4%) agreed that there are no limitations or
restrictions in using Facebook for environmental justice. According to
another 32.8% of them, however, sometimes there are limitations and
restrictions on this matter. 25.9% of respondents clearly mentioned that there
are limitations and restrictions in using Facebook for the above purpose.
Personal restrictions or limitations were seen as the major reason by the
majority of respondents (62.2%). Another 43.2% found time restrictions and
