Greeting by Journal Coordinator
It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I welcome readers, contributors,
and colleagues to this inaugural issue of the People‘s Journal Sri Lanka, a
collaborative publication of PEOPLE.LK and the Department of History &
Archaeology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of
Ruhuna. This peer-reviewed journal stands as a dedicated platform for
illuminating the rich tapestry of Sri Lanka‘s social, environmental, cultural,
and historical research.
Our mission is to foster scholarly dialogue and inspire transformative
insights into the pressing issues facing our society today. With contributions
