A fundamental responsibility of academia is to enhance the explorative and analytical skills of its sprouting scholars. Researching provides a prime arena to develop the skills that are bound with scholarship. Such a scholarship makes a human being who is nourished with sound academic capacities as well as ethics that can shape the future of a society in the most sophisticated manner. The Department of Pali and Buddhist studies, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Ruhuna organizes the 8th RASAS as its undergraduate symposium to construct the platform to initiate the first step of the academic journey of future researchers. The main objective of the symposium is to disseminate new knowledge acquired through research conducted by the undergraduates of the field of Humanities and Social Sciences. Also, it expects to encourage undergraduates to engagement on research and promote a research culture among them.
