Mr. E.G Wijesiri graduated in 1991 from University of Peradeniya and joined the Department of Political Science in 1993 until he joined with the Department of Economics, University of Ruhuna in the same year. He was teaching in the capacities of lecturer, senior lecturer Grade II and Grade I and is the founding head of the Department of Public Policy which he holds up to now. He worked in various capacities of academic administration, as a student counselor, academic sub-warden etc. Mr. Wijesiri is a coordinator of both internal and external study programmes representing various subjects of the discipline of political science. His research interest is focused on comparative politics & government, governance, international relations and constitutional studies.
