MA by Examination and Research

This is a two-year duration study  programme including three written papers, a dissertation and a viva-voice on the dissertation. 

MPhil by Research

A standard thesis should be provided by the candidate doing his or her own research work based on a relevant area of Sociology under a supervisor appointed by the university. The candidate is awarded the degree if he/she passes the Thesis and the oral examination.

PhD by Research

This study programme requires the submission of a thesis based on independent research conducted by the candidate under the guidance of supervisor/supervisors appointed by the university. It is also required to pass the oral examination. 

Note:- A candidate should initially register for a MPhil Degree However, he / she can transfer to the Degree PhD programme on the recommendation of the supervisor (s).

Diploma Course in Community Development

This Diploma Course aims at producing qualified and useful professionals in the field of community development. Duration of the course is 12 months.

Diploma Course in Psychological Counseling

This Diploma Course aims at producing qualified and useful professionals in the field of Psychological Counseling to deliver this service at community level. Duration of the course is 12 months.
